Tyler Buck started coaching full-time in 2015 and currently trains rugby players from grassroots up to the international level. He also works with athletes, runners, lifting enthusiasts, and health clients. Bucky has a deep passion for coaching and loves to see his clients succeed both on and off the field. One of the things that sets him apart is his ability to connect with his clients, with Bucky you don’t just get a program and off you go you get a coach who is fully invested in your journey.
He played rugby from age 11-20 before he had to hang up the boots due to concussion. As a life long athlete he played rugby, basketball, soccer, jiu jitsu, long distance running, CrossFit, bobsledding and now powerlifting. He firmly believes in leading by example in order to be much more relatable to the athletes he coaches and by understanding the demands their sport places on them.
Bucky is passionate about helping athletes develop their unique strengths, inspire them to continue pursuing their goals in the face of adversity, and creating the habits needed to become 1% better everyday. To continue learning and stay on top of the most effective ways to help his athletes progress, he studies daily and is being mentored by two of the world’s top coaches, Dr. Nic Gill and Sebastian Oreb “The Australian Strength Coach”.
Tyler is a certified Personal Trainer, with multiple training certifications, and a diploma in marketing and management.
Outside of coaching he loves spending time with his family on Vancouver Island, powerlifting, collecting comics, sipping a good coffee, and walking with his dogs in nature.
