Meet The Team
Dr. Nic Gill is a professional strength and conditioning coach and consultant with huge expertise in rugby and other sports. He is the head of performance and coaching at Rugby Ready.
Gilly is best known for his work in rugby, with 20 years of experience in the sport. For the last seventeen years Nic has been the strength and conditioning coach for the New Zealand All Blacks, a period of international success for the team which has included more than 120 rugby test wins and the World Cup title in 2011 and 2015.
He continues to study and research many areas of sports science at the University of Waikato, constantly refining and evolving his philosophy for being fit and healthy and having the 'winning edge' in life and in competition.
He currently lives in Tauranga and is married with two children. Gilly loves to grow Avocados and Kiwifruit and tries to challenge himself every year with something that "gets him outta bed" to stay fit and healthy.
Tyler Buck has been coaching full-time since 2015, working with rugby players from grassroots to the international level, as well as athletes, runners, lifters, and health clients. He co-founded Rugby Ready and is your head coach in Perform.
Bucky played rugby from age 11-20 before he had to hang up the boots due to concussion. As a life long athlete he played rugby, basketball, soccer, jiu jitsu, long distance running, CrossFit, bobsledding and now powerlifting.
Bucky is driven to help athletes discover their strengths, build resilience, and get 1% better every day. To stay sharp, he studies daily and is mentored by two of the world’s best, Dr. Nic Gill and Sebastian Oreb.
Tyler is a certified Personal Trainer with multiple training certifications and a diploma in marketing and management.
Outside of coaching he loves spending time with his family on Vancouver Island, powerlifting, collecting comics, sipping a good coffee, and walking with his dogs in nature.

We have many variations for each program track! If you wanted to keep working on SPEED for example you would select Speed #2 to continue on.

Yes! We have various testing weeks that can be loaded into your calendar suited to your training age and position. Whether you want to measure progress in your bronco time, speed on the field, or progress in the gym all you need to is message your coach and let them know you’d like to do a testing week.

We have great options for those who have retired from the game or are looking to keep fit! You don't have to play rugby to train with us.

You can cancel your membership at anytime by logging into “my account” at the bottom of the homepage, choose “my subscriptions”, and “cancel”. Or if you prefer send us an e-mail or message your coach in Perform and we'll help you cancel your plan.

Send us message in the app or an e-mail prior to the end of your first 30 days of training requesting a refund. Both monthly and annual plans are eligible for refunds within 30 days of registration.

First, you need to see a sports therapist to be assessed. Ask them to provide guidance on the type of training you can and can’t do and then advise your coach in the in-app messenger. We will be able to provide guidance on modifying your training so you can continue to train if deemed safe by your physiotherapist.
